Class of 2013In offering a multi-faceted and well-rounded learning experience, Alsion Montessori Middle School embodies the value of a private school education for your child.

The world is increasingly complex and competitive. To be successful today, a student must be able to meet repeated challenges beyond the classroom.

Alsion Montessori Middle School was founded in 2001 for the purpose of preparing young people for life beyond the classroom. Together, our administrators, faculty and parents have built a strong curriculum that is remarkably varied and can be tailored to the needs of individual students.

The value of a private school education for your child can be measured several ways:

Small Classes

Alsion Montessori employs the teaching philosophy of Maria Montessori in small classes. Our student-teacher ratio of 10 to 1 enables instructors to take the time to make certain each student learns course material.

Smaller classes also facilitate students’ interaction with each other. Understanding the importance of collaborating to achieve goals will serve students well in their personal lives, through high school and college, and into their careers.

Extracurricular Activities

Hands-on activities outside the classroom give students the opportunity to organize projects while strengthening ties with one another. Annual activities include:

  • Market Day, which encourages entrepreneurship by allowing students to develop concepts in small business.
  • Biome Trips that take students to various California regions for in-depth study of geology, geography, ecology, climate, and human history.
  • School clubs that are customized on a yearly basis to the interests of students. The Astrotech Group, for instance, caters to students interested in astronomy and aircraft.
  • World Savvy, in which Alsion middle schoolers compete with students from nearby schools by using various media to propose solutions to global problems.

A Close Relationship with Parents

The foundation of Alsion Montessori’s success lies in the cooperation our school enjoys with the parents of our students. The Alsion Community Association promotes understanding among teachers, administrators and parents with regular meetings, enrichment talks that cover issues important to parents and students, and fundraising events such as barbecues and raffles.

Alsion Montessori is conveniently located in the East Bay area of Fremont CA, an easy commute from Hayward, Milpitas, Union City, Santa Clara, San Jose and Silicon Valley.
