savvy 300x225Discover The Value of an Alsion Education

The value of an Alsion Montessori education is reflected in our outstanding graduates of our private middle school and high school, who go on to attend major universities and earn rewarding careers.

The foundation for their success as adults is built during their time at Alsion Montessori Middle School, when critical studying habits are formed and social skills are developed.

Middle school students are delightfully energetic in their attempts to understand where they fit in the world in which they live. They require a special program of learning that is tailored for adolescents who are often distracted as they transition to the teenage years.

Alsion Montessori offers such a middle school program. With Maria Montessori’s teaching methods at the core, Alsion’s well-rounded middle school program offers a rigorous curriculum taught in an environment designed to foster self-confidence and respect for fellow students.  All aspects of the program are designed to prepare students for high school, college, and life beyond the classroom.

Our early college high school courses are intense and rigorous classes taught on campus and in collegiate environments like neighboring Ohlone College.  This program is best suited for students who are intellectually curious and voracious learners.

Extracurricular activities help round out the total school student experience and include business internships, community service, student government, various clubs, gardening, the model United Nations, and our popular Biome Trips.

Biome Trips Add to the Value of an Alsion Education

century kidsBiome Trips are an unforgettable experience for every Alsion Montessori Middle School student.

Each one-week visit allows students to intensely study the communities, environment, geography, human and natural history, and climate associated with a distinct California ecological biome. The state offers several biomes for study, including desert, mountain and coastal regions.

Activities are particular to the biome, such as kayaking during a visit to the coast. Students are also encouraged to use artistic outlets such as photography, painting, or writing to document their visit.

The three biome trips taken during a student’s time in middle school also have the added benefit of encouraging camaraderie among all middle school students.

Alsion Offers an Education Close to Home

Alsion Montessori also offers another significant benefit to families: its proximity to Silicon Valley. We’re located in Fremont near the 680 and 880 freeways, convenient to San Jose and East Bay cities such as Milpitas, Union City, Santa Clara, Hayward, and Pleasanton.

Commuting parents appreciate the fact that Alsion Montessori’s central Fremont location cuts down on the time spent driving children to school and school-related activities.

A prime location, middle school curriculum customized for adolescents, and extracurricular activities that bring out the best in each student are all part of the value of an Alsion education. Call 510-445-1127 today to schedule a campus visit.
